Challenge: An industrial design company approached VISIONknit to develop a new high performance speaker cover. The cover would have to meet acoustic standards while presenting an “artistic” look and feel not currently in the marketplace.

 

Result: After trialing various knit patterns for acoustic properties, and numerous attachment scenarios, a knitted 3D cover was created which delivered superior sound quality over current industry norms and was installation ready.

Challenge: To help transform an office conference table into a stress relieving ping pong table.

 

Result: Taking into consideration the accompanying seating colour make-up, as well as the required mechanical properties for storage inside of the table, a ping pong net was knit installation ready.

Challenge: While training using exercise balls is great for targeting individuals core muscles, transporting the exercise ball can sometimes be a workout of its own. VISIONknit was asked to manufacture a bag which would allow for easy storage and carrying of various sized exercise balls using fashionable colours.

 

Result: A washable fashion conscious bag that, in most cases, matches exercise outfits.

Challenge: A high-end chisel manufacturer/designer was looking for a suitable North American made chisel roll to compliment the craftsmanship of the chisels.

 

Result: Using various materials, including kevlar, the resulting roll provided both the performance and craftsmanship character they were looking for.

Challenge: We were approached by university students to help develop a unique, stylish and environmentally friendly laptop sleeve.

 

Result: Visually stunning computer sleeves in various designs and colour combinations.
